MARIE BONFILS

I aim at letting materials respire, and emotions inhabit form. The voice of my sculptures comes from the resonance of air passing through them. To give the body a voice as a resonant amphora.

I am interested in the concrete nature of fantasy and how its clarification seems clumsy and awkward, almost painful. The confrontation of the subject with their soiled dreams. The transformation of sketches into the three dimensional has to be made from scratch, to bring forth the reality of illusion.
